The A Knight’s Toil side quest in Weepwild Dankness is a reference to the tale of King Arthur, where you look for the Lake Lady (Lady of the Lake), you find an iteration of Excalibur titled Extra-Caliber, you encounter Mervin the Wizard (Merlin), and face off against skeletal Knights of the Round Table, like Gawaindahval (Gawain).You also encounter the villain Garglesnot (Gargamel) and his pet Azabelle (Azrael). The evil Murphs you face off later in the quest are identical to Smurfs, with blue skin and white hats. ![]() This game calls them Murphs, but they do have their iconic cone hats. The Little Boys Blue side quest in Weepwild Dankness is a play on the Smurfs.Princess Bride reference anyone? You can find his body on the ground outside Tangledrift in the Overworld after he enthusiastically takes a plunge. His side quest is similarly insane, with him requiring you to retrieve the Princess. His name is a reference to the fictional character Don Quixote, who reads so many romance novels that he loses (or pretends to lose) his mind. Also in Tangledrift, you'll encounter Ron Rivote.In Tangledrift, you'll see a Skeep falling infinitely between two portals, likely a reference to the Portal series.Early on in the game, you'll be able to begin the "Walk the Stalk" Side Quest, which creates a brand new area on the map titled Tangledrift - an entire zone that acts as a reference to the Jack and the Beanstalk tale.
